standing on high ground overlooking the somerset levels, wedmore has outstanding views of the mendip hills to the east.
holly tree barn nestles at its very heart, down a quiet lane.

bluebell farm, with rose cottage and magnolia cottage in the grounds, is a five minute drive, and a twenty minute walk down a tranquil country lane into the village.

visit the church in September for a bird’s eye view if you take part in the annual open tower day.

alfred the great defeated the danes under their leader guthrum at the battle of ethandun (edington, wiltshire) in may 878.
his victory forced the danes into signing the treaty of wedmore.
